Dave, as Chair of the All-Party Muscular Dystrophy Group (see below), meets campaigners, Michaela Hollywood, Michael Hollywood and Maurie Hollywood of the Northern Ireland Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.

During Dave's time as a trade union representative and president of Unison he worked closely with colleagues in Northern Ireland. When Dave was elected in 2005 he was pleased to be chosen to sit on the Northern Ireland Committee. In January 2009 he was asked to sit on the Energy and Climate Change Committee.
