Dave in the Communities of Blaydon Constituency

The work of an MP is very time consuming, quite apart from the travelling. But Dave still finds time to lend his support to various local organisations to help further their valuable work on the Blaydon Community.

Currently Dave is:

• Patron of the Mick Knighton Mesothelioma Research Fund | Cancer
• Patron of Gateshead Visible Ethnic minorities forum.
• Patron of FACT – Fighting All Cancers Together
• A supporter of 'The Longest Day Project’ - The Blaydon Race' fundraising for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research

Dave is in regular contact with voluntary groups to support them in bids for funding and to advertise and promote community activities in the area.
